Joomla 1.6.x, 1.7.x, or 2.5.x to 4.4.11 or 5.2.4.
Joomla 3.0.x, 3.1.x, 3.2.x, 3.3.x, 3.4.x, 3.5.x, 3.6.x, 3.7.x, 3.8.x, 3.9.x, or 3.10.x to 4.4.9 or 5.2.4.
Joomla 4.0.x, 4.1.x, 4.2.x., or 4.3.x to 4.4.9 or 5.2.4.
If you want to go from Joomla 1.5.x to 5.2.4 that requires a migration, not an upgrade.
